Freeze warning

First hard freeze this week, lows in the mid 20s. No-heat calls go to the front of the line, so turn your furnace on now and call if it will not light.

Since 1998

One van. Now eleven.

Dale Kowalski started Summit with one van and a pager. Today 23 people run plumbing, heating and cooling out of the same Depot Street shop. We still answer our own phones.

How we run calls

Three habits we do not bend on

None of this is clever. It is just how a call should go.

01 / Dispatch

A real dispatcher, 24/7

Rosa's team answers every call, day or night. No answering service, no call center in another state.

  • Calls answered in 3 rings on average
  • Text with the tech's name and photo before arrival
Drawer full of wrenches and hand tools in a service van

02 / The van

Stocked vans

Each van carries about 400 common parts. Igniters, capacitors, thermocouples, trap kits, shutoffs. That is why most jobs finish on the first visit.

  • Restocked every night from the shop
  • Shoe covers and drop cloths on every job
Wall thermostat set to heat at 63 degrees

03 / The price

Price before work

Flat-rate pricing from a printed book. You see the number on the tablet and approve it before we touch anything.

  • No overtime meter running
  • Old parts left on your counter
